Building community in small towns and unlikely places.
Creating spaces where people feel seen, safe, and connected, especially in small towns and under-resourced communities. Connection doesn’t happen automatically. It takes intention, trust, and consistency to build spaces where people truly belong.
Designing and leading events that bring people together in meaningful ways from grassroots gatherings to larger community celebrations. Events are often the entry point to connection. When done well, they create visibility, build trust, and open the door for ongoing community.
Working within and alongside local systems while navigating pushback, tension, and real-world community dynamics. Building community isn’t always welcomed or easy. Understanding how to move through resistance is what allows the work to continue and grow.
Guiding individuals and grassroots organizers who are building something in their own communities, often without a roadmap or support. Many people doing this work are figuring it out alone. Support, perspective, and shared experience can make the difference between stopping and continuing.
If you’re building something in your community and want to connect, I’d love to hear from you.
